If your DropTop™ doesn’t make your work easier, improve your space, or just isn’t for you, we’ll take it back and refund you, including the original shipping charges. No awkward questions asked.

The Only Terms
- The DropTop must be returned with all included accessories, free of damages, scratches, or dents caused by the customer. This excludes any damages clearly caused by the courier company.
- It must be returned in its original or similar packaging, suitable for international (if applicable) courier transportation.
- Orders with special customisations (custom size, extra holes drilled, etc.) aren’t eligible for return.
If the item is damaged, incomplete, or poorly packaged, we may need to deduct refurbishment costs from your refund.
‘Fair Play’ Policy
We also need to be upfront — most people are amazing, but not everyone is. We’ve had to introduce a couple of fair conditions to protect ourselves from those very rare few who try to abuse our goodwill (people purposely trying to cause us financial damage, returning desks they’ve damaged, or dodging customs).
To keep this fair and avoid people treating the guarantee like a free rental period, the only thing we ask you to pay is the return postage cost.
If the product is returned to us because customs charges weren’t paid, we’ll deduct:
- The original shipping cost
- Any return shipping or customs fees we incur
- And possibly a restocking fee (if needed)

What’s Covered Under the Guarantee?
- The DropTop Desk
- Any tech items installed by Pith & Stem (e.g. monitors, plug sockets). Please note after 90 days, the manufacturer’s standard warranty applies. Remember to register your tech warranty that comes with your desk.
- Original artwork included with your Classic DropTop desk
- Standalone artwork purchased separately is not covered
Important Terms & Conditions
- Any original shipping charges will be refunded when a DropTop is returned under this 90-day guarantee, as well as UK VAT. Please note we cannot refund any customs or local taxes as these are not taken by us — please reach out to your local governing body for more information.
- The full configured DropTop, including all tech, accessories, and original artwork, must be returned unused and damage-free, with no wear and tear, to qualify for a full refund.
- Please do not book installation services (if needed) until after your DropTop has arrived and been inspected — we cannot be held responsible for any costs arising from installation changes.
Inspection and Reporting Policy
We kindly request that you open and inspect your DropTop™ immediately upon delivery. If you spot any transit-related damages, please notify us within 14 days and include as much photographic evidence as possible to help prove that the damages were caused in transit. After this 14-day window, we’ll still do our best to help, but it may not be possible to resolve issues with DHL.
Shipping & Delivery Responsibility
We ship all orders via DHL with a signature required upon delivery to ensure safe receipt. If you choose to change your DHL delivery instructions (e.g. authorise delivery without a signature, leave it in a safe place, neighbour delivery, etc.), this is at your own risk. Pith & Stem cannot be held responsible for any resulting losses, damages, or delivery issues once DHL follows the altered delivery instructions. No refunds or replacements will be offered under these circumstances.
How the Return Process Works
- Email us within 90 days of delivery to initiate a return.
- We’ll arrange courier pickup and guide you through safe return shipping.
- Once your desk arrives back and passes inspection, we’ll process your refund within 5–10 working days.
